Meet Kindness Ambassador

It’s time to meet another of our Kindness Ambassadors. We are loving getting to know our community a little better, and hearing about how kindness impacts their lives. Togetherness is one of our core values, which is why we feel it’s so important to connect with people. We believe a better world is a united world.

Hi, my name is Chel Stewart and I live in Colorado. I’m the Chief Happiness Officer for Culture 1st Consulting and volunteer at Dress for Success Denver and Cooking Matters. I love to be outside; stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, and soaking up nature with my hubby and dog. Cooking, bicycling, and reading are some of my hobbies.

What drew you to The Good Cards?

Spreading kindness and cheer in a fun way is what made me want to learn more.

Why do you think it’s important to be kind?

There’s no reason not to be kind. Each person is trying to get through life. Being kind to each other (and ourselves) makes it a little easier to handle the challenges life throws at us. Kindness is underrated in today’s society and workplace. Many people don’t think about the value of kindness or how it can improve someone’s perspective, day, or even moment.

What is the kindest thing anyone has done for you? How did it make you feel?

When I graduated with my master’s degree, my then boss (and now dear friend) attended the ceremony, took my extended family out to lunch, and sent a congratulatory email to leaders in the company. It was so unexpected and generous I felt very valued. She also made me feel very special.

What is the kindest thing you’ve ever done for anyone? What was your inspiration to do this?

I’m inspired to help people/be kind every day. I enjoy paying things forward at drive-thru coffee shops – always a fun surprise. I’ve helped people get promotions and new jobs by believing in and connecting them to others. If I think someone may be struggling, I pause and ask if I can help. I try to be aware of others versus going through life focused on myself.

Do kind people motivate you to do kind deeds? Tell us about someone that inspires you to be a kinder person.

Absolutely kind people motivate me to do kind deeds. My Dad inspires me to be a kinder person. He always has time to help someone else no matter what. He’s very patient learning what the other person needs but also isn’t taken advantage of – he’s very kind and real.

Would you like to be like Chel and become a Kindness Ambassador for The Good Cards? Maybe you are interested in partnering with us for a school or community project. Either way, get in touch by emailing The Good Cards at
